Biography

Finn is an artist who writes and performs songs that both move and provoke. Still only 22, Finn has developed a way of communicating his deepest feelings with a thrilling honesty and a voice that touches the soul. An instinctive musician who started out as a classically trained piano player, Finn then embraced the acoustic guitar as the perfect partner for writing and performing his deeply personal songs.

Raised in a large family where he says "almost everyone played or sang," Finn is already an experienced writer and performer. Having paid his musical dues in open mic's and local support slots, by the age of 19 Finn was booking and playing his own gigs around the country. His career to date has already led him to appearances at leading London venues such as The Borderline, The Bedford, The Regal Room, and the Acoustic Lounge. Outside the metropolis he has developed a strong local following, playing at well known venues such as Worcester's Marrs Bar, and The Quadrant Lounge in Wolverhampton.

This strong development trail has found Finn in some great musical company. He has a close relationship with label mates Nizlopi, which has culminated in him having written, recorded, and played gigs and shared stages with the chart-topping duo on several occasions. Finn also has also shared concert bills with breakthrough names such as Duke Special and Gary Dunne.

2007 sees the imminent release of Finn's first official FDM release, a 6-track mini-album entitled 'Snap'. Following 3 self-published EP's released from 2004 to 2006 and excellent sales on the Fopp Unsigned Artist Network, 'Snap' sees Finn at his most focused and exhilarating. The title track in particular has seen superb responses, at gigs and online, amongst Finn's ever growing number of followers, thanks in part to the intense self-directed video which accompanies it. Finn has tapped in to the huge potential for online music to reach people which is provided by the web 2.0 phenomenon. He has a strong body of work available online including video and audio material available on MySpace and YouTube.

With a host of unrecorded tracks due to be released later in the second half of 2007, this year will be extremely exciting for Finn.
