My name is John Parker, I play double bass and beatbox with the band Nizlopi which me and my best friend Luke formed when we were about 16 (having played music together since we were 13).

FDM was formed really as a way to get Nizlopi's music out there as, at the time, the dinosaurs weren't really interested in us. Me and Luke are both directors of FDM records and are key to all decisions that are made in the company. FDM's core is music, either as listeners or players, it is the heart of what we do.

In FDM we all muck in, as it were, and I tend to do bits of office work liaising between FDM and Nizlopi. As FDM is a family and friend run record company it is a great place to work. We have our own studio running pro tools so me and Luke are fortunate to have a permanent and free practise/ recording space.
